New Village Hall, Cambridgeshire
This project formed part of a section 106 planning agreement of a major redevelopment master plan for the village.
I produced a modern design that would provide a community hub for a variety of different functions.
These included local parish meetings, sports activities, children's parties and community fundraising events. The flexible nature of the internal spaces was important to provide a successful design that would allow for the required adaptability.
A carefully chosen modern palette of materials gave a clear identity to the building within the context of the master plan. Large areas of considered glazing provide natural light and warmth to internal spaces.
