Setting the Project Foundations
Written thesis for the initial project investigation, developing from the brief to establish the purpose of the project, and showing how the architectural language was developed.
This process utilised semiotic investigative work carried out by Claude Levi-Strauss to deconstruct the novel, and retell the narrative in a different manner, using the key events to inform the hierarchical decisions which informed the development of the architectonics.

Building Development
This slideshow illustrates the process which I undertook to develop the initial language into a built form. This process begins in a fairly simplistic manner, before
gaining complexity as the building is refined to allow for function, regulation and spatial journeys to integrate with the language being developed.

Site Analysis
This slideshow illustrates the process which I undertook to analyse the site. This process considers New York and Manhattan on a wider basis before focussing up on the chosen site on 42nd West Street.
This analysis also investigates the history and development of the skyscraper as a built form and explores Manhattans relationship with the typology.

Completed Scheme
The slideshow shows the final 2D general arrangement drawings of the overall scheme and visualisations.

Building Performance
The slideshow shows the technical details and integrated environmental considerations to provide a full representation of the projects resolution.
