We were appointed as contract administrator to oversee construction works (RIBA work stages 5 & 6) for this residential extension and alterations project for our domestic clients.
The site is centrally located in Cambridge and situated within a conservation area.
A new kitchen from Nicholas Anthony was installed providing a very nice and clean modern look, with central island breakfast bar seating.
Bespoke lighting was installed throughout the ground floor spaces with feature strip lights in the kitchen and hallway providing nice accentuated details
The proposal provided a small front extension to provide a more fitting entrance hall, with improved linkage through to the rear of the house, incorporating new feature crittal style doors and rooflight providing natural light throughout.
Externally, the extension fits in nicely with the existing property, and new stonework provided a really nice parapet, entrance step and false fanlight detail. A new brickwork front wall and railing was installed, along with a new paved parking space.
A new air source heat pump was installed to achieve a more sustainable means of providing energy for the property.
