Internal Alterations & Small Extension

The existing property featured a primary elevation with a covered veranda and stepped façade, with the main entrance being set back from the building line and a large sliding glazed door from the front of the lounge into the covered external space.

Our project provided an infill extension to the existing building line, gaining additional lounge space by doing so. The large glazed door offers little natural night into the space owing to it being set back, whilst also offering limited privacy to the lounge.

 

The new extension removed the set back, and by introducing two new well proportioned windows on the building line, increased natural light into the space, despite decreasing the overall extent of the glazing, also offering an improvement to the privacy and thermal performance of the property.

Internally the open plan living space is now bright and welcoming, with a clean modern finish to the lounge and kitchen.
