Arts & Crafts House, Cambridge

The scheme was a major extension and alterations to a 1930's house within a conservation area. The brief and nature of the site required the scheme to remain respectful of its context within the street.

The clients wished to provide much needed updates to the house, and the design incorporated numerous new features for modern living including open plan kitchen/living/dining and study. Master Bedroom and en-suite were introducing along with a new family bathroom. Natural light was introduced over the existing staircase via a dramatic new roof lantern. Bespoke joinery items were designed by myself for internal spaces including the study, dressing room and music room.

Externally, a large in-ground swimming pool was coordinated into the scheme and the design enabled a much improved connection from the house to large rear garden for the family.
